Donna and Chris Warrener were both born and bred in Sunderland and are now raising their own young family in the city.
“Chris and I were both brought up in Sunderland and have had a fantastic life here. Without any hesitation, we chose to stay in the city to raise our own young family to give them the great lifestyle that we have enjoyed.
“One of the best things about raising a family here is the fact that, although it is a big city, it is extremely green, with access to beautiful parks and countryside. You can enjoy a big city lifestyle one minute, and feel like you are in the country the next. It is a great mix and one that you could not get anywhere else.”
“I am proud of Sunderland. I had a great childhood here and am glad that Donna and I can give our young children the same lifestyle. There is so much to do, with lots of great attractions, including The Glass Centre, Winter Gardens, Penshaw Monument, Herrington Country Park and the new Aquatic Centre. We can enjoy them as a family and the children have a great time.
“It is not just the leisure facilities that make Sunderland a good place to raise a family. We have some excellent schools here and great places for further education. Donna and I are both Sunderland graduates, so if our children want to carry on their studies after school, they will have an excellent college and university on their doorstep.
